We're happy that Hoopla is popular! However, with patrons borrowing an increasing number of Hoopla titles, our daily budget for this resource has been depleted more frequently and earlier each day – leaving some patrons without the opportunity to borrow any titles at all.
Therefore, to allow more people access to Hoopla’s inventory of eAudiobooks, eBooks, music, TV shows and movies, beginning July 1, 2018, the Sonoma County Library is changing monthly borrowing limit per patron for Hoopla from 10 to 6.
To help offset this new limit, and to make digital borrowing consistent and easier to remember, we are increasing our other eBook and eAudiobook services to match the new Hoopla limit.
In other words, Axis 360, Overdrive, and Odilo will be increasing from 5 items per month to 6.
We understand that this change may be challenging for some of our patrons, but we thank you in particular for your understanding that limiting Hoopla per person increases the availability for all.
