The most common reasons are:
- It has already been renewed three times, or
- Someone else has placed a hold on it.
Some library items can’t be renewed at all, such as “Lucky Day” items, WiFi Hotspots (SonomaFi), DIY Energy and Water Savings Toolkits, and some LINK+ items.
In addition, library accounts are blocked from further borrowing when more than $100 is owed on the account, or there are more than 10 items checked out that are more than 14 days overdue. If this is the case, please contact library staff for assistance with renewing items.
