The Sonoma County Library system offers several options for patrons to access digital books (e-books) and digital audiobooks (e-audiobooks) with a valid library card.

You can access digital collections in a few ways.

E-books and e-audiobooks are listed in our catalog along with all other titles, so you can limit catalog searches to only downloadable items by selecting "Downloadable Library" as a filter:

Or, to access each eContent Provider's collection, help guides, and online tutorials:

1. Go to

2. Hold your mouse over Books & More

3. Select E-Books or E-Audiobooks

These links will take you to lists all of the e-book & e-audiobook vendors to which we currently subscribe. Each vendor has a different type of collection, and a different way to view or download a title onto your device.

You can click on the 'More Information' links below each vendor to learn more about that collection, find quick start guides and online tutorials for each device type.

In addition, each vendor has their own HELP pages with detailed how-to guides. Click on the 'Go' button to access a collection.

Here's a list of our most popular eContent providers and what they offer:

E-Books can be borrowed from Overdrive (or its app, Libby), Hoopla, and Enki.

E-Audiobooks can be borrowed from Overdrive  (or its app, Libby) and Hoopla
