July 27-August 4, 2026: How can I get information about my library account, place holds, return items, and search the public catalog during the system upgrade?

The online public catalog and patron accounts will experience downtime during a system upgrade between July 27 and August 4.

Answer

Due to a system upgrade, there are some expected disruptions to the online public catalog and library accounts between July 27 and August 4. This upgrade will significantly improve our backend efficiency and staff workflows.

  • Please bring your library card when visiting!

  • The catalog may not be up to date (for example, some items showing as “checked in” may NOT be available).

  • New holds requests cannot be placed (including no new LINK+ requests).

  • Items cannot be renewed.

  • Lost or damaged item fees cannot be paid.

  • If you return items to the library, they will be kept safe by staff and checked in after August 4.

  • You will not be able to check or update your account during the upgrade. Staff will not be able to give you information about your borrowing or holds. However, between July 27 and August 4, no items will be due and no holds will be delivered.

  • You are welcome to browse and borrow items in-person at the library.

  • If you have a Libby, Hoopla or Kanopy account, you can continue to borrow and place holds on digital items by logging in directly to the provider’s website or app.

  • The library never charges overdue fines.

Between August 5-23, the online library catalog will look a little different from usual. However, you WILL be able to review your account, renew items and place holds. Hold requests will be delivered, and returns will be checked in. It may take longer than usual for staff to check in returned items from late July and early August because of the backlog and systems upgrade. We apologize for this temporary inconvenience and appreciate your patience as we upgrade our library system.
