When using our online catalog, you will get this message because of one of these two reasons:

  1. You have reached the limit for total allowable hold requests (50)
  2. You already have that title in their request list

If you know that you haven’t reached the total allowable request limit, you will very likely find the item in your current hold request list. This can occur unexpectedly when, for example, you double-click on the Request button.
